WHAT HAVE I DONE??/

Tumblr Crushes:
SERIOUSLY DANIELLA 12%?????????

(but i love you lots and lots)
I just love all of these people so much so here are my crushes~~ (two aren’t here because we don’t mutually follow each other and I thought it would be awkward but they have gr9 blogs too)

A President’s Day Follow Forever, by order of George Washington.
These are the people I talk to most here or the people I worship from afar, point is they are all wonderful. If you want an even better President’s Day (let’s be real, best holiday of the year), follow the following ~
Aleccia, Alison, Amy, Ayesha, Bonnie, Daniella, Elodie, Heather, Heidi, Jen, Jess, Justine, Laura, Lauren, Leah, Leanna, Lexi, Lyn, Melissa, Milka, Molly, Natalija, Noelle, Ray, Sarah, Shantar, Shelby, Stacy, Stefanie, Vita
but honestly everybody I follow is brilliant (x). Also: obligatory apology if I forgot anybody, and I’m 99% sure that I did but I was starting to add every single person who I mutually follow so yeah okay here it is HAPPY PRESIDENT’S DAY.

UMmmm. besides Woolf - Gwendolyn Brooks, Edgar Allan Poe, Tennessee Williams, Vladimir Nabokov (but he’s originally Russian), Richard Wright, Twain… and I’m starting to go blank ‘cuz it’s late.
AH sorry god I fell asleep. NABOKOV!! We get to read Lolita next year for ~European lit~ (I mean I’ve read it but as a class!) Anyway, I realize more and more how illiterate I am in terms of American so.. that I should fix.

I don’t think so. she was one of the biggest early 20th century authors! tbh she’s part of the reason why I now prefer american to european writing (which is a big deal for me, because growing up, I was very much the classic european lit girl).
Ahh no way. I have a huge amount of respect for the works I’ve read so far but they haven’t been books that I would consider my favorites by any means. Or books that I would read if left to my own devices (although my favorite A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is American…) Which are your favorite American authors?

ahhhh I love her so much. she’s basically the one who invented modern stream-of-consciousness or really, stream-of-consciousness as a major style of writing and she writes so PRETTILY. she’s a good transition from european to american (i would know).
oohh brilliant. And I could use some transitional because our required in class reading has been very heavy, very very American (Twain, Melville, now Steinbeck) stuff. Something a bit ~prettier~ would be nice.
